The bundled Inter, its weights, and the installed faces for the scripts Inter lacks now come from fastframe-fonts: FontSetup with Spotifast's monochrome emoji face as a companion, then the desktop's text rendering. The macOS CoreText lookup (mac_fonts.rs), the Linux and Windows font ranking, the baseline correction and their tests move to the crate, as do Inter itself and the Yi test fonts. MilkDrop's overlays and the Winamp playlist's pixel text read the crate's fallbacks and Inter; the playlist keeps looking up Arial or its stand-ins itself, now through the crate's list of font directories. memmap2 stays for that lookup. Behaviour changes, from ZapFast's copy of the same code: - An Arabic face that draws small beside Inter is enlarged by up to 25% so Arabic titles read as large as the Latin text around them. - Javanese, styled mathematical letters, circled letters and the ♡ suit also get an installed fallback face, so names that use them no longer draw as empty boxes.
