Add the contributed native updater with package-manager guidance, verified staging and startup confirmation. Keep backups complete on copy failure and use independent macOS mountpoints for retries. Integrate the automatic-download setting with Settings search. Full contribution checks pass locally. Demo tests cover keeping downloads alive when the window closes and waiting for an explicit restart. Native Linux helper tests verified installation, first-window confirmation and failed-start rollback with restored executable hashes.
