Changelog
What each release brings, newest first. The GitHub releases add every commit that went into it. Versions before v1.1.0 came without notes.
v1.7.0
2026-10-01
Welcome to middleclick-autoscroll v1.7.0! Firefox gets autoscroll now, and so do LibreWolf, Zen, Floorp, Waterfox and Thunderbird. It starts working after your next login, or right away with Re-apply everything. Then restart Firefox.
Highlights
- Autoscroll in Firefox
- LibreWolf, Zen, Floorp, Waterfox and Thunderbird too
- Flatpak and snap included
- New Firefox profiles get it on their own
v1.6.1
2026-09-29
A small patch. Autoscroll now works in Steam with Use experimental SteamRT3 Steam Client turned on. And apps that start at login through a link, like Mullvad VPN, get autoscroll now instead of an error.
v1.6.0
2026-09-24
Welcome to middleclick-autoscroll v1.6.0! The menu got quicker and simpler: search your apps, fewer settings, and no more waiting for a key. It now speaks eleven languages. The ten new ones are machine translated, so corrections are very welcome.
Highlights
- Search field in the applications list
- Long lists scroll
- Faster start
- Simpler settings
- Spotify in the applications list
- Results show up in the menu
- Ten more languages
v1.5.4
2026-09-24
A small patch. For some of you Discord was still missing after v1.5.3, because an old result from before the update kept it out. Every update now starts with a fresh scan, so Discord shows up again after your next login, or right away with Re-apply everything.
v1.5.3
2026-09-24
A small patch. Discord changed the way it installs itself and slipped out of the list, so autoscroll never reached it. It is back.
v1.5.2
2026-09-24
A small patch. The menu now says "1 minute ago" instead of "1 minutes ago".
v1.5.1
2026-09-15
A small patch. Autoscroll now works in Brave, which has its own name for it. AppImages are recognised too: an Electron AppImage gets autoscroll like any other app, and one that cannot autoscroll at all, like Modrinth, is left out of the list.
v1.5.0
2026-09-08
Welcome to middleclick-autoscroll v1.5.0! A middle click now scrolls everywhere instead of pasting text.
Highlights
- Middle-click paste is off

2026-09-06
Welcome to middleclick-autoscroll v1.4.0! This one is all about Steam.
Highlights

2026-09-04
