CachyOS rebuilds its own packages ahead of Arch, and Arch's multilib repository trails behind, so a freshly bumped library regularly leaves its lib32- counterpart pinned to the previous version. pacman then refuses the entire transaction with "could not satisfy dependencies", and the user gets no updates at all until someone else fixes the repository - on a handheld that is a dead update button for hours. The pacman phase now parses the ":: installing X breaks dependency '...' required by Y" lines and retries the same -Su with --ignore for X, adding any further offender the retry turns up, capped at ten packages. Every retry is a full transaction that pacman validates on its own, so the system stays consistent and is simply one package behind until the rebuild lands. yay gets the same --ignore list, because it re-resolves the repository upgrade and would walk straight back into the conflict. The held-back packages are reported in the panel and on the CLI, and a new dep_break hint covers the case where holding them back does not help either - previously that failure produced no hint at all.
